Join the community of Seward for the 98th Mount Marathon Race on the Fourth of July!
The route – men and women cover the whole mountain and juniors go halfway up the 3,000ft mountain, which features a grueling climb and treacherous descent of Mount Marathon, the majestic peak that overlooks Seward and Resurrection Bay. We welcome bold mountain runners from around the U.S. and overseas to join Alaskans in pursuit of a common goal: to safely complete this iconic footrace, whether chasing the podium or simply trying to reach the finish line in one piece.
