The Alaska Long Trail is a multi-stage project, with trail segments to plan and build, and existing trails to maintain. The effort is managed by Alaska Trails, a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit that teams with partners across the state to build, maintain, and advocate for sustainable trail systems across Alaska.

Alaska Trails uses funds to build and maintain trails. We also use funding to plan new segments of trail, maintain resources, and fund our work with land managers and other partners to advance the project to its eventual completion.
